Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the CarbonVerify website or platform (together, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.

2. Platform usage

You agree to use the Services only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with any documentation, usage limits and access controls we make available. You will not attempt to interfere with, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the Services or the systems or networks connected to them.

3. Accounts and access

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials issued to you and for all activity that occurs under those credentials. You must notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorised access.

4. Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, models, methodologies, interfaces, documentation, trademarks and branding, are and remain the exclusive property of CarbonVerify and its licensors. No rights are granted to you other than the limited right to use the Services in accordance with these terms and any applicable customer agreement.

5. Enterprise Pilot participation

The Enterprise Pilot programme is offered to selected organisations on the terms set out in a separate written pilot agreement. Participation is at CarbonVerify's discretion, may be subject to eligibility criteria, and may be modified or discontinued at any time. Nothing on this website constitutes an offer to enter into a binding pilot agreement.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties shall protect the other's confidential information with at least the same degree of care they use to protect their own, and in no event less than a reasonable standard of care.

7. Disclaimer

The Services are provided on an "as available" basis. Except as expressly stated in a signed written agreement with CarbonVerify, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CarbonVerify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services.

9. Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which CarbonVerify is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
